Lawn Care

Spending time on your lawn now will reward you throughout the summer!

If you would like to remove moss that has built up in your lawn, then one option is to scarify the lawn after your first spring mow. Scarifying can be done with a spring tined rake and is a lawn care process that removes built-up dead grass, moss and organic debris (thatch) from the base of the lawn. It helps to improve air, water and nutrient flow to the soil, which will help to promote a healthier lawn. Another option is a bacteria based moss remover such as Viano MO Bacter Organic Lawn Fertiliser and Moss Remover. The bacteria digests moss, so you don’t even have to rake out the unsightly dead moss. It doesn’t remove it entirely, but usually makes a noticeable difference.
