A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hardworking individual to join the kitchen at our Christchurch Coffee Shop as a full time Commis Chef Apprentice!

Learn while you earn and immerse yourself in practical, hands-on award-winning masterclasses and workshops led by passionate craft trainers. From sustainable practices to efficient kitchen operations and menu planning, the Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship programme equips you with everything you need to harness your talent and make your mark in the culinary world.

In partnership with our apprenticeship providers ‘HIT Training’ you’ll be supported every step of the way by your own Vocational Trainer, with regular face-to-face and online sessions all while working alongside our friendly team creating beautifully presented homemade food using fresh, locally sourced ingredients!

Apprenticeships are an excellent way to kickstart your career, whether you’re a school leaver looking for your first job, a professional seeking a career change, or a career mover looking for new challenges.

This apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete and is fully funded by us.  'HIT Training' are also specialists in English and maths so will assess your needs and give you tailored support if you need a boost.

You'll complete 13 modules plus 3 expert- led masterclasses worth £500 each!

2 - Kitchen Operations                                                             9 - Menu Development

3 - People                                                                                10 - Bakery and Patisserie

4 - Game and Offal                                                                  11 - Stocks, Soups and Sauces 

5 - Meat & Poultry                                                                 12 - Rice, Pasta and Noodle Dishes

6 - Fish and Shellfish                                                               13 - Vegetables and Vegetable Protein

7 - Bread and Dough

The successful applicant will work an average of 40 hours per week covering a 2 week rota as follows;

Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 7:30am – 4:00pm

Week 2 – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 7:30am – 4:00pm
