Head Chef/Kitchen Manager – Stewarts Christchurch

An 8th Generation business that knows about plants and everything about gardening. It’s our passion! But we also love good food – homemade, locally sourced or home reared, fresh and seasonal.

Catering is a very important part of our business and we are always looking for foodies to join our team at our Coffee Shop. We pride ourselves on the high quality food and service we offer together with a fun and happy atmosphere.

We are on the look out for a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager who loves their food and would like to help us produce outstanding quality for our customers. As a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager you will be responsible for producing lovely meals and also running the team in the kitchen. Qualification in Catering is essential and experience in a similar business would be a distinctive advantage.

The vacancy involves working Mondays to Fridays and alternate weekends with a fixed day off during the week working from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will include late night Thursdays until 8:00 p.m. on a rota basis.

Trolley Helper – Stewarts Christchurch

We are looking for someone to join our team as Trolley Helper/Customer Service Assistant at our Garden Centre in Christchurch.

Duties will include providing assistance to customers, enabling them to easily locate self-service trolleys and shopper baskets, assisting customers with larger heavier items and returning trolleys left in car park to the Garden Centre. You will also be assisting other departments in store when necessary.

Applicants should possess good communication skills and enjoy delivering a high level of customer service. Please note that some heavy lifting is involved.

This vacancy involves working the following hours:

Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (20 hours/week)
