Landscape Builder – Stewarts Landscaping (Wimborne)

Stewarts are a family run business specialising in designing and building quality gardens. We are seeking to recruit a permanent skilled and experienced person to join the team. The candidate must have good long standing previous experience in the hard landscaping trade along with technical knowledge.

1. You must have proven quality skills in carrying out site and level surveys and able to read plans accurately including setting out. We may ask you to demonstrate this at interview time.

2. You must be able to provide some examples of your work and workmanship.

3. You must be able to prepare sites and you will be experienced in laying foundations/sub bases, laying paving, decking, brickwork, able to carry out small carpentry projects such as installing pergolas, fencing, planting, turfing and operating various plant machinery etc.

4. You must have good communication skills with both clients and colleagues and be able to carry out all works independently or in a small team.

5. Work closely with the project manager to ensure smooth organisation of materials and be able to work to deadlines of timely completion of site works including good organisational skills.

6. A smart experience will be expected along with working safely and in a tidy manner.

7. This position requires a flexible team player with a positive attitude who is organised, friendly and happy to be an ambassador for the company.

8. Full driving licence is essential. Trailer licence (Category B + E or C + E) would be an advantage as well as excavator licence.

The role includes working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with 30 minutes unpaid break each day, a salary of Ł24,000 per annum and 28 days holiday including bank holidays.

Cook – Stewarts Broomhill (Wimborne)

An 8th Generation business that knows about plants and everything about gardening. It’s our passion! But we also love good food… homemade, locally sourced or home reared, fresh and seasonal.

Catering is a very important part of our business and we are looking for foodies to join our team at our Broomhill Coffee Shop. We pride ourselves on the high quality food and service we offer together with a fun and happy atmosphere.

We are on the look out for an extra member of staff who loves their food and would like to help us produce outstanding quality for our customers. Experience in a similar business and relevant catering, heath & hygiene training would be a distinct advantage.

The vacancy involves working Mondays to Fridays and alternate weekends with a day off during the week, working from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Kitchen Assistant – Stewarts Broomhill (Wimborne)

We are becoming increasingly proud of the food we offer here at Stewarts. With our food preparation facilities we are able to prepare fresh, locally sourced produce to make good quality food for our customers. Not surprisingly we are becoming increasingly busy.

We are on the lookout for two Kitchen and Food Preparation Assistants to join our team working alongside our Chefs in our busy Coffee Shop at Broomhill, Wimborne.

Applicants should possess catering knowledge and be able to prepare lunch and all other food as required as well as an understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

Both vacancies require working an average of 27. 5 hours per week (55 hours over a 2 week period) to include some weekdays and alternate weekends.

Hours of work are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid break each day worked.

Coffee Shop Assistant – Stewarts Broomhill (Wimborne)

We are on the look out for warm outgoing people to join our coffee shop team at Stewarts Broomhill on a part-time basis.

We aim to provide an outstanding experience for our visitors and need people who can contribute to making their visit exceptional. We work hard to make working here pleasurable, but we cannot deny that you will be kept busy most of the time.

Duties will include counter service, operation of tills, clearing tables and assisting with basic food preparation.

Applicants should possess good communication, team working and customer service skills as well as having a good level of health and safety/hygiene knowledge. Previous catering experience in a similar environment would definitely be an advantage. Please note own transport is essential due to our countryside location.

Hours are as follows:

Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and alternate weekends (average of 21.25 hours per week) working:

Wednesdays 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saturdays 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sundays 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Backstage/Goods Inwards Assistant – Stewarts Christchurch

We are seeking to recruit a Backstage/Goods Inwards Assistant to join our busy Goods Inwards/Backstage team at Stewarts Christchurch.

Duties will include checking off paperwork and deliveries on arrival, raising credits, distributing stock to different departments/store areas, general housekeeping of the stores, helping occasionally with customer deliveries and additional work in other parts of the store as and when required.

Applicants must possess previous retail/goods inwards experience, a driving licence and counterbalance fork lift license, good communication and team working skills as well as good working knowledge of health and safety regulations. A first aid qualification would be an advantage. Please note that some heavy lifting will be required.

The job involves working the following days/hours:

Monday to Friday and alternate weekends with a day off during the week (39 hours per week average)

8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays with 1 hour unpaid break each day.
