Stewarts Garden Centres have kindly built another grotto this year so that my elves and I can meet all the lovely children of Christchurch, Wimborne and Titchfield. If you want to come and meet us, we’ll be in the Grotto from 25th November until 24th December, when I have to pack my sleigh and get to work! Prices are as follows:
Babies (0 – 6 months) Free (no gift)
Children (7 months to 12 years) £8.95 (includes a gift)
Adults (accompanying paying children) £1.00 (no gift)
By booking tickets it is assumed that you have read and understood the following, as Stewarts and I wish to avoid any misunderstandings.
Firstly, please double check that you are booking the correct date and grotto, at either Christchurch, Broomhill (near Wimborne) or Abbey (Titchfield, Fareham) Garden Centres. You are responsible for checking your confirmation before your visit. Contact Stewarts immediately if there is a problem – it may not be possible to rectify any mistakes upon arrival. If you need to change your booking, Stewarts will do their best to help, but you must contact the centre you have booked with in advance and all changes are subject to availability. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required.
For those of you not yet familiar with the system; you book places within a 15 minute time slot, so you don’t have to wait in a long queue and neither do you have the stress of having to turn up at the exact time. The system works well. I like it when the grown ups are calm, as I want everyone to be relaxed and enjoy their visit.
There is lots to look at in the grotto and you can have your photo taken with me. We have an animated band, snowy winter wonderland walkway and two of my reindeer will be available to meet at Stewarts Christchurch and Broomhill, you can read more about them here.
All children coming to see me must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All babies, children and adults entering the grotto must have a valid ticket. Stewarts don’t charge for babies 0 – 6 months, but they do need a valid ticket so Stewarts can allocate enough time to the children visiting me. Stewarts have this system to ensure we keep to time.
In the past one ‘booked in’ child might have been accompanied by many adults wanting the annual family photo, which is fine but it takes time; by the end of the day they have in the past run late, which is unfair on the groups arriving later in the day. As long as they know how many people are coming they can set aside enough time to let you take that all-important photograph for the memory box!
By knowing how many people are coming to see me, Stewarts can run a calm, happy grotto! I like it like that, so do the team at Stewarts and so will you!
Stewarts work very hard to keep to time, but occasionally small delays might occur. If this does happen, please enjoy the walk through the grotto, there is plenty to look at and there are plenty of photo opportunities! I will be with you as soon as I can.
Please be aware that there are flashing lights in Santa’s Winter Wonderland and we regret that no dogs (except assistance dogs) are allowed in the grotto.
Dearest children, please make sure you keep your adults under control so that my Winter Wonderland is looked after for the visitors behind you. Stewarts put in a huge amount of time and care creating the magical walk and we hope you like it, especially the animated band. We know mum & dad might be excited but don’t let them get carried away! This is your last chance to move over from my naughty list to the nice list…
Please book your tickets by following the links below (when tickets are available) and remember to print out your booking reference confirmation and bring it with you as you will be required to show it to gain access to the grotto. If you don’t have a printer, we will be happy to print one for you at the Santa booking desk in the Garden Centre (just arrive a little earlier).
